Task 1: Introduction to the Third Sector
a) Introduction to the Third Sector in the UK.

Discuss the funding sources for the Third Sector.
b) Background of your ONE chosen enterprise to include:
Remember, you must chose a Social Enterprise that is based in the UK with an annual income of <£500,000.
· Role of the Enterprise – Describe what the organisation does, what cause or issue does it focus on? How does it operate? What services does it provide to its target audience?
· Objectives of the Enterprise – Explain the mission and goals of the organisation. What is the purpose of the enterprise? What are its short-term and long-term objectives? Does it aim to support a specific group?
· Stakeholders – Identify and explain at least three key stakeholders. For each stakeholder, discuss their role and why they are important to the success of the organisation.
c) Identification and discussion of the key challenges of awareness, acceptability, membership and fundraising as applied to your chosen enterprise.
This section requires you to analyse the main challenges your chosen enterprise faces in four key areas. HINT: conduct a PESTLE/SWOT and include this in your appendix.

For each of your four strategies (two business and two marketing), you will need to provide an analysis of its impact on the following three areas:
