INDD 213 - iPod reverse Design Project
You are commissioned with assessing, analyzing, and reverse designing a 2001 Apple Generation 1 iPod.
Major points:
- All files appropriately named and placed within one labeled folder: (TShinyei 90210 iPod). The main assembly file will have a name of: (TShinyei iPod ASM). All files are placed within your shared folder
- A representation as accurate as possible of the form. and the design details of the item
- Working slide lock with color indicator
- Constructed in metric “mm”
- Your full name and student number engraved on the back face
- Minimum of 7x parts and 1x assembly files
- All manufacturing and detail considerations covered in classes are included where required
- Shelled @2mm where not measurable
- No errors, undefined sketches, floating parts etc. All parts mated properly
- 1x PDF and 1x SolidWorks construction file of drawings with orthographic views on page 1 and a bill of materials on page 2, including only the basic dimensions, your name and student number
- 1x rendering as per in-class process using KeyShot (jpeg & 2000x 2000@72dpi) highlighting the most important details/angles
- Participation in class "dissection” of iPod
