For an example of the format of each test please refer to the “Formative Assessment” folder on the module’s blackboard site. These tests will cover material from lectures and seminars. Each multiple-choice question will have logically correct and incorrect answers.
Those questions will not involve several long calculations but rather focus on testing understanding of definitions (and their application) and applying logical reasoning. Any calculations required for those answers will be brief. Those questions will be very close to what we cover in the seminars.
The open questions in each test can be numerical. However, the calculations required for such questions will be relatively simple. The focus, once more, will be on the appli- cation of logical reasoning based on the notions and concepts discussed in the lectures and seminars. The questions will be closely related to those we solve in the seminars.
